Gendering scientific publications – second MINDtheGEPs Train the Trainers workshop
Today, trainers from across MINDtheGEPs partner organisations are meeting in Belgrade to discuss gender in relation to scientific publication, covering both research themes and teams. The workshop will result in a set of guidelines for gendering scientific publications that will be made available to the European research community.
During the workshop, we will discuss the European Commissions’s outlook for gender equality in research, and set the scene for the process to develop our guidelines. The workshop will cover perspectives on gender equality for researchers and on the management level. We also provide a view on gender in teams and themes from publishers and editors. The training includes a workshop part, where participants discuss different perspectives: capturing the views of students, junior and senior researchers in SSH and STEM, reviewers and editors and gender equality educators.
The workshop is hosted by our Serbian partner University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering (ETF), one of the leading higher education and research institutions in the field of electrical engineering and computer science in Southeast Europe. It is the largest engineering faculty in the region, and 3rd largest electrical engineering faculty in Europe.
