Online workshop on strategies, negotiating and sustainability for gender equality
On Monday 20 June, we welcome you to an international workshop on gender equality in research performing organisations, focusing on strategies, negotiation and sustainability. The event is organised together with the LeTSGEPs project and will take place both in Belgrade and online. The event his hosted by the Mathematical Institute of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MI SANU) and University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering, partner in both projects.
The workshop gathers internationally recognised experts for gender equality issues in educational and research institutions, with keynotes by Giovanna Badalassi, from The Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Italy), and Corinna Pusch and Ulla Weber from The Max Planck Society (Germany).
During the worksohp, we will discuss gender equality in science and innovation, with a special focus on creating gender equality plans and how to form strategies and negotiation approaches for gender equality measures, including gender sensitive budgeting in science institutions.
The workshop will support the development of institutional gender equality plans, which is now a prerequisite for securing funds for science projects through the EU Horizon Europe framework programme.

The event is organized as a part of the European Horizon 2020 projects LeTSGEPs (Leading Towards Sustainable Gender Equality Plans in Research Institutions) and MINDtheGEPs” (Modifying Institutions by Developing Gender Equality Plans) and hosted by the Mathematical Institute of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MI SANU) and University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering, who are a partner in both projects.
