MINDtheGEPs final conference: Redrawing the map of gender equality in research and science

27 May 2025, we celebrated our achievements and set the stage for the future of gender equality in research at the beautiful Villa Celimontana in Rome, Italy.
After four years of dedicated work, collaboration, and progress, it was finally time for the MINDtheGEPs final conference. Since 2021, we have worked to increase women’s participation in research and innovation, enhance women's career prospects, improve gender balance in decision-making bodies in research organisations, and integrate gender dimensions into research content. Together, we have taken important steps to increase the quality and societal relevance of knowledge, technologies, and innovations produced.
Now, it was time to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and most importantly, look ahead. What lessons have we learned? What challenges remain? And how can we ensure that the change we have initiated continues to grow?
It was a full day of collaborative discussions, hands-on workshops, and inspiring reflections, as we concluded our project and set the stage for the future of gender equality in research.
