MINDtheGEPs 3rd project meeting in Gdańsk – 23-24 May 2024

This Thursday and Friday, we convene to discuss our progress and chart the course for the final year of the MINDtheGEPs project. We'll explore how our learnings can be applied to benefit others, ensuring a lasting impact beyond our project.

At our third project meeting, we will cover our work so far, on assessing gender imbalances, integrating the gender perspective in research and teaching at partner institutions as well as the dissemination of our work through our scientific dissemination strategy. On Thursday, we begin by updating each other on the design of our respective gender equality plans and how each partner organisation is working towards balancing recruitment, retention, and career progression, and empowering women in decision-making processes. Key advancements in supporting caregivers and breaking structural barriers will also be discussed and we will explore the progress we have made in terms of of gendering research and teaching, the monitoring and evaluation of GEPs, and the strategies for communication and dissemination of the project’s findings.

Friday opens discussions on our upcoming book, Gender (In)equality in Research and Science: A Multilevel Analysis across Europe (working title). Authors and discussants will collaborate on presenting our findings effectively.
